The following are images of show pieces I either made or altered. I also included shows I've designed.
This was my show I got to design for. This is the play Love/Sick written by John Cariani, directed by Kayle Richey. I was the costume designer for this show that appeared at the University of North Texas. I used pieces from the school's backstock of costumes as well as some of my own personal garments.
This was the University of North Texas's production of Caberet. Written by Kander and Ebbs, directed by Alli Betsill, costume designer Angela Malone, assistant designers Bailey Butzow and Sofia Barron. For this production, I was assistant designer. I helped with fittings, sewed on money on boater hats for the "Money" dance, conceptualized and bedazzled nightgown dresses for "Don't Tell Mama." As well as helped pull things from backstock that the UNT theater has.
This was the University of North Texas's production of Sideway Stories from Wayside School. Written by John Olive, directed by Ashley Pukett Gonzales. I was co costume designer with Mako Mcginnis as we took on the task of designing the costumes of the whimsical world of Wayside. The patchwork skirt worn by the character Ms. Jewels in particular was designed, drafted, cut, and sewn by me. Many of these items were alterations made to pre-existing clothing items. Items such as the apple dress worn by Ms. Gorf, originally a plain black wrap dress that we added Cricut vinyl to. As well as Bebe's pink dress with purple paint sploches, originally a plain pink dress we added felt sploches and a collar to.
